All Souls' Service and Labyrinth of Light
Each year on the Sunday closest to All Souls’ Day we hold a Service for all who have been bereaved. This Service has been found very helpful in previous years to bereaved families. If you would find this Service helpful you are invited to come at 4pm on Sunday 31st October. This Service will include the opportunity for you to light a candle in memory of your loved one, giving thanks to God for their life and to entrusting their soul into God’s care. If you would like the name of your loved one read out during the service there are slips of paper to fill in at the back of church, or you can email email@example.com. We would ask that you please wear a mask when you are in church, unless you are exempt.
Again this year we are creating a Labyrinth of Light in our Garden of Remembrance. The labyrinth is an ancient path that people have walked to contemplate and to remember. There are labyrinths on the floors of cathedrals, and on hilltops all over the world. It is hoped that each light will be in memory of a loved one and act as a symbol of hope in the dark winter months. If you would like a light in memory of a loved one please fill out the form below.
