Coronavirus updates

WE ARE NOW OPEN FOR PUBLIC SERVICES ON SUNDAYS AND TUESDAYS AT 10AM. WE SHALL ALSO BE HOLDING EVENING PRAYER ON THE THIRD SUNDAY ONLY, AT 6.30 PM IN CHURCH.

The PCC met to discuss the best way to responsibly take our church services forward now restrictions have officially been lifted.  We are very mindful that cases are still rising, and that we have a duty of care to one another. With that in mind, we would like to let you know the plans for the immediate future:

Please continue to wear a mask whilst in church, unless you are exempt.

We will provide hand sanitiser at the door; and encourage you to continue to leave your details for track and trace purposes.

We will continue with social distancing, but we will now be using every other pew, rather than every third pew.

We will continue with the one-way system.

The Peace will not be shared for the time being.

Holy Communion will now be administered by Intinction (the priest dips the wafer in the wine and passes it to the communicant).

You are encouraged to continue standing when you receive communion.

The choir will sing at the very back of church during communion. A decision has been taken to continue with the policy of no communal singing in church. However, we are planning on having some services outside where everyone can sing without masks.

Votive candles will go back to being live flame.

The toilet and kitchen will remain closed, but this will be reviewed in two to three weeks.

After the Tuesday morning service, which ends at 11am, church will stay open for private prayer until 4pm.
